Federal Programs

  • Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI)
    A federal program providing CSI funds to LEAs to develop and implement school plans to improve student outcomes. (SACS Resource Code: 3182)
  • Title I - Parts A and D
    A federal program to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging state academic achievement standards and state academic assessments. (SACS Resource Codes: 3010, 3025)
  • Title II, Part A - Supporting Effective Instruction
    A federal program that increases student academic achievement through strategies such as improving teacher and principal quality and increasing the number of highly qualified teachers in the classroom and highly qualified principals and assistant principals in schools.   • Title III - Language Instruction for English Learners (EL) and Language Instruction for Immigrant Students
    A federal program to provide supplementary programs and services to assist EL and immigrant students in achieving grade-level and graduation standards, as well as assisting EL students with acquiring English. (SACS Resource Codes: 4203, 4201)
  • Title IV, Part A, Student Support and Academic Enrichment
    A federal program to increase capacity to provide all students with access to a well-rounded education, improve conditions for student learning, and improve use of technology to improve the academic achievement and digital literacy of all students. (SACS Resource Code: 4127)

State Programs

  • Arts, Music, and Instructional Materials Discretionary Block Grant
    Funding for local educational agencies and state special schools to obtain standards-aligned professional development and instructional materials in specified areas, COVID personal protective equipment and support arts and music education programs. (SACS Resource Code: 6762)
  • Learning Recovery Emergency Block Grant
    Funding for county offices of education, school districts, and charter schools for learning recovery initiatives that, at a minimum, support academic learning recovery, and staff and pupil social and emotional well-being. (SACS Resource Code: 7435)
  • A–G Completion Improvement Grant Program
    Provides additional supports to local educational agencies (LEAs) to help increase the number of California high school pupils, particularly unduplicated pupils, who graduate from high school with A–G eligibility requirements completed for admission to the California State University and the University of California.
