San Jacinto Unified School District hosted its annual State of the District event on October 28, 2025, welcoming community members, education partners, and elected officials for an inspiring afternoon celebrating student success and District achievements.
 
A Color Guard team from SJLA and a soloist from SJHS, who sang the National Anthem, were featured at the beginning of the program.  Superintendent Dr. David Pyle shared a District overview highlighting recent accomplishments, followed by Steve Simpson, Principal of San Jacinto Middle College High School (SJMCHS), who presented on the innovative high school program that bridges high school and college learning experiences.
 
The event’s featured segment was a student panel featuring four SJMCHS students, who provided authentic insights into their daily experiences, reasons for joining the program, and the personal and academic advantages they have gained.

SJUSD students also assumed behind-the-scenes roles as floral arrangements were provided by SJHS FFA and refreshments were prepared and served by SJHS Culinary.

“SJUSD is committed to empowering all students to reach their full potential and succeed in their educational journey.” Examples of actions to fulfill this responsibility were shared with the community during the December 2 State of the District event as Superintendent Dr. David Pyle gave highlights from Educational, Personnel and Business Services Departments. A Color Guard team from San Jacinto Leadership Academy and a quartet from San Jacinto High School who sang the National Anthem, were featured at the beginning of the program. Students also assumed behind-the-scenes roles as floral arrangements were provided by SJHS FFA, refreshments were prepared and served by SJHS Culinary Arts and Board Member video recordings included in the program were produced by SJHS Tiger Media Network.
