A Message from our Executive Director

Alejandro Gonzalez, Executive Director

As the Executive Director of Special Education, it is both an honor and a privilege to serve the students, families, community and staff in the San Jacinto Unified School District. I am dedicated to partner with you in order to prepare all learners for their next step in their educational experience and to initiate practices that empower each and every student to achieve academic excellence, personal growth and social responsibility.

Students in the San Jacinto Unified School district identified as in need of special education and/or related services are given equal access to the high quality education provided by the district. I am committed to promoting a caring community of professionals that meet the diverse academic, behavioral, emotional and social needs of all of our students in a respectful and positive environment. At times, the special education process can be complicated and frustrating for both parents and educators. Communication and collaboration are key ingredients in providing a successful experience for all of our students. State and Federal regulations and misunderstandings may sometimes complicate the process. The staff in the San Jacinto Unified School district are dedicated and prepared to do the best that they can to address your child’s needs. It is my hope to work together with parents and staff in order to support open and honest communication for the benefit of our students with diverse needs. With that thought in mind, we will be continuing our parent meetings throughout the school year to discuss our programs, the referral process and other topics of interest and concern. I invite you to join us at our scheduled Special Education Parent meetings in the district office Board room at 2045 South San Jacinto Avenue, San Jacinto, Ca. 92583 on December 5, 2019; March 5, 2020 and May 28, 2020 at 5:30pm.

Together with you and all district stakeholders, we will achieve the mission of the San Jacinto Unified School District as we work together to educate and empower all students to achieve academic excellence, personal growth and social responsibility.

It's going to be an exciting school year.  Together, let's make the 2019-2020 school year an amazing experience for all of our kids!  I am looking forward to seeing you at our schools, parent meetings, and other community events.
