SJUSD Assistant Superintendent of Business Services Seth Heeren was recognized as Citizen of the Year by the San Jacinto Community Builders during their meeting on November 29. The Community Builders have supported district schools, programs and students for over 70 years by hosting various fundraising events, most notably the "Hamburger Bash" held annually in March. In recent years, they have given funds to the SJHS Video Production Digital Media CTE Program, NMMS VAPA Program, multiple school libraries, Ballet Folklorico, Culinary Arts, CBI, Early Childhood Education, SJHS Theatre/Drama Department, Bird Singers/Dancers.
