On October 1, Megan Cope Elementary's Family Science Night brought students and families together for an evening of hands-on learning, exploration and fun!
From rock painting and colorful leaf impressions to building aluminum foil boats and testing how many pennies they could hold before sinking, there was something for everyone! Families also explored displays from the Santa Rosa Preserve and Western Science Museum, learned about the important role of worms through an Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) demonstration, discovered CalKIDS opportunities and much more!
Science came alive through curiosity, creativity and discovery!
