Rose Salgado Elementary students put creativity and curiosity to work through Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (afterschool) activities!
Recently, students became aerospace engineers, designing and testing paper helicopters while learning about gravity and weight. In the Art Room, students combined creativity, fine-motor skills and sensory exploration by creating dumpling squishy crafts. Students also tackled grade-specific escape rooms, working together to solve challenges that encouraged teamwork, problem-solving and critical thinking.
Several students are taking on leadership roles as ELOP assistants, helping support activities and their classmates.
All this and more gives Rose Salgado students opportunities to explore, create, experiment, collaborate and learn through hands-on experiences.
