SJHS band students have been working hard in preparation for upcoming concert festivals which are often considered the “regional and state assessments” of the music world showcasing their dedication, growth, and commitment to excellence in our Tiger music program.
At these festivals, students perform for a panel of expert judges who evaluate them across five key areas from the California State Framework for the Visual and Performing Arts, including artistic perception, creative expression, and cultural understanding. More than just scores, these experiences celebrate progress, inspire students, and connect them with talented young musicians from across the region.
