San Jacinto Middle College High School began the process of choosing a mascot, logo and colors in September of 2023. All students and staff had the opportunity to give input and after much discussion and voting, the final result was made public at the January 17, 2024 Board of Trustee meeting.
School Colors: Crimson / Graphite / Black
School Mascot: Griffin
A Griffin is a mythical animal typically having the head and wings of an eagle and the body, hind legs and tail of a lion. They are considered the king of land and sky, and are unilaterally protectors of good.
The logo was designed to include one characteristics from all three campuses currently represented by the SJMCHS students:
San Jacinto HS - tiger (stripes)
San Jacinto Leadership Academy - lion (legs, tail)
Mt. San Jacinto College - eagle (head, wings)
