San Jacinto Unified Holding Eighth Annual Attendance Luncheon for Staff

The Soboba Foundation has been the premier financial sponsor of this event for the past five years.

San Jacinto Unified first introduced a Staff Attendance Challenge in 2009-2010 to increase awareness of the importance of staff attendance and share with District employees the fiscal impact attendance (good or poor) can have on the organization, especially during difficult economic times. The program has continued to our current school year and remains an encouragement for employees to maintain perfect or almost perfect attendance, modeling what we expect from our students.

“We know that attendance matters for students, and continuity with staff attendance has a direct impact on the learning environment,” said SJUSD Superintendent Diane Perez.  “We are fortunate the Soboba Foundation and our other community partners understand this connection and support our desire to reward our staff,” she continued.

Other sponsors of this year’s event include Schools First Federal Credit Union, Grand Canyon University, and Altura Credit Union.  The Habit Burger Food Truck of Irvine, California, will be providing food for all honorees and their administrators, and each honoree will receive a SJUSD-branded item and a chance to win an opportunity drawing from gifts totaling $2,000 provided by the generous donations.
