The California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS) is the largest statewide student survey of resiliency, protective factors, risk behaviors, and school climate in the nation. Across California, the CHKS has led to a better understanding of the relationship between students’ health behaviors and academic performance, and is frequently cited by state policymakers and the media as a critical component of school improvement efforts to help guide the development of more effective health, prevention, and youth development programs.
San Jacinto Unified School District is committed to ensuring that we support the whole child and identify barriers to learning. Between February 1, and March 7, 2017, students in grades 5, 7, 9, and 11 will be given an opportunity to take the California Healthy Kids Survey. The results of this survey are used to create prevention and intervention activities. If you would like to review the survey please select one of the choices provided.
